I was born in 1981 and grew up in Tyler, Texas. I completed a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Business at Texas Christian University.

In 2011, I completed a Doctorate of Philosophy (PhD) at the University of North Texas in Clinical Health Psychology and Behavioral Medicine. I then accepted a faculty position at the University of La Verne where I currently hold Emeritus status as a Full Professor of Psychology.

As a professor, I mentored, taught and trained graduate students to perform therapeutic, assessment and other professional skills in an American Psychological Association (APA) accredited clinical psychology program.

In 2024, I moved to Switzerland with my family where I now live and practice psychology. I continue to conduct research, teach remotely and consult on clinical cases. I am approved to practice psychology in Switzerland and licensed in California (#29065) and Texas (#36925).

I am a member of the Föderation der Schweizer Psycholog:innen (FSP), Schweizerische Vereinigung Klinischer Psychologinnen und Psychologen (SVKP), and the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies (ABCT).

When I am not working, I love to travel, spend time with my family, explore nature and teach Zumba.
